PERSONALITY: Ayama comes from a wealthy family, so it's natural that she may have a little pretentious traits carried from certain members, notably her mother. She values money and genuinely believes money can cause happiness, or at the very least it can be a source of happiness. It made her develop a large sense of greed, albeit very subtle when it comes to showcasing it. While she does actually enjoy the simpler things in life, she prefers the finer things and other objects that appear to carry value. Pearls, diamonds, other luxurious items, she would hold close dear to her heart. It doesn't mean she views anything ordinary or middle to lower class as useless to some people's surprise, but her wealthy background has influence in her morals and values.
Not full of herself because she's aware of her limits and weaknesses, but Ayama can get narcissistic. She adores the attention, but doesn't make it obvious or desperate. In a sense she cares for herself more than anything else, even family. It doesn't conclude that she shuts the world out, but it means she finds herself slightly more important. Her overall demeanor does surround individualism, she learned to become more open-minded and see the value in teamwork. She knows well that she can't handle all the work on her own all the time, but she has her moments where she likes to take all the credit.
Her narcissism comes with self-confidence. She's very self-confident and rarely shows any concern; it doesn't equal to having lack of it, but instead is very good at not showing any worry. She learns that for every risks and wonders there are, there is potential opportunity, so she learns to become more confident in each action and sentence done and talked even if she's worried to the bone. Sometimes she knows how to fake her confidence to the point of making it look natural. But anyone who's keen can notice see through the act.
Ayama's self-confidence also comes with a sassy persona. She's bold and very opinionated, often clashing with her ability to be open-minded and leaves room for her to be hypocritical; something that she both acknowledges and needs to be corrected. Her self-confidence boosts her ability to become argumentative and extremely expressive in what she thinks if absolutely necessary to where she becomes dramatic about it.
Although her flaws are very apparent, she does have some redeeming qualities. She's extremely observant with her surroundings and who she socializes with. She has a sharp eye and likes to pay very close attention. Ayama is also empathetic and very kindhearted beneath her bold and classy exterior. While she's tough, she's also tough on the inside. She learned to become more understanding towards the unfortunate or those that have been in worse situations and does whatever she can to protect them.
HISTORY:
- Ayama is the daughter of Yuta Hanado, a retired ANBU captain, and Sayaka Hanado, a former ANBU medical ninjutsu user who have decided to leave behind the life of being an ANBU member and instead worked in a hospital. The two both came from old money and have met during their endeavors of being ANBU members. They eventually grew a bond which slowly turned into affection. Eventually, they married and had two healthy children: Ayama Hanado who was the first born, and soon after her younger sister by 2 years, Maki Hanado.
- Ayama and Maki maintained a rocky relationship throughout the years. A major factor in them butting heads was their clashing personalities. Ayama was described to be more elegant yet egotistical whereas Maki was passionate, but very rough and reckless. Despite their differences and more often arguments, they were still sisters at the end of the day who had to look out for each other whether they liked it or not.
- Because they were sisters, it was natural that there was competition between them once they became academy students. Through Ayama's hardwork (not to discredit Maki's own work) and sheer determination, she managed to outrank her sister in both strength and of course book smarts. Ayama saw herself as the "superior" Hanado child, although Maki never really seemed to show any interest in "beating" Ayama.
